I just bought a 2002 true blue lightning and couldn't be happier. Thanks to all the research I have done on this site over the last two weeks helped make my decision. Just wanted to say hello to everyone and that i probably wont post much so dont worry about me being that annoying NewB that has to chime in his 2 cents.

Incase you are wondering, i bought the truck with the only thing done is a chip from JDM and the (love-hated) line valve mod and of course a K&N.

I will post pics once I get them to show off my new love.

thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I must tell ya I did a LOT of research before buying it. I had to research the mods the truck has on it and take note of the good and bad effects. Also had to find out what makes these trucks explode and WOW, you guys know your ****. I have learned low RPM + good tune = haulin *** and no rod protrusion. I love these trucks so much even if the have imperfections like off-centered cabs and beds, or the beloved pop from the front end when backing up a hard left. I look forward to reading as much as possible about everything I can that deals with this truck.

I am proud because this is my first vehicle that didn't require mommy or daddy to co-sign. I have had the 347 stroker mustang which I built, the corvette with nitrous and a turbo dodge but none of them are as badass and wonderful as the lightning.
