Have you gotten pulled over with the front plate not mounted? I mounted mine with some trick aluminum brackets from Home Depot. Drilled two small holes into the lowergrill (set far into the grill so you cant see mounting), and the plate sits in factory spot. Looks like its floating.....

Once you get movin' wouldn't that plate and bracket flex and really start bouncing/rubbing on the front bumper? Just wondering if you noticed anything like that.

No, it stays put. The billet frame around the plate makes it rigid, plus its all very light weight. The top screws for the liscence place have little vac line plugs on the back of them, just incase the plate decides to bounce around. Its been their for about 11,000 miles and no problems.

Maybe at 120 mph + it may start to touch the bumbercover, but i dont think anything would be damaged. The vac line boots in the backside of the screw will protect it.

Thanks for the compliments.

Bob - I think eventually I'll get the 01/02 leafs... Maybe in the spring. IMO, the FRPP kit is definately worth it as I have no complaints so far. I almost bought the Hotchkis TVS but the branches on my money tree fell off.

Josh - I live right in South River, but I know I won't see you because I never see any lightnings around here.
I haven't gotten pulled over for the plate yet... but even if I do I won't move it. I like how you have yours even though I'm not a fan of front plates on gen 2s.

Truck looks good! Can I ask how the ride is compared to stock? Does anyone know what the spring rates are compared to the stockers? I'm actually surprised how low the back looks with just the shackles... I put 2" shackles on my 03 and it looks higher than that.

Inquiring minds want to know I'm curious about this as well.

Looks deceiving in those pics but it appears lower because it's lowered in the front 1". It really makes the truck look better when the truck is lowered in the front and rear

Compared to stock, I think it rides better in my opinion at least.

Jim - I do still have the gen 1, but my dad is driving it now.

Leeann you truck looks great!!!!

I had just installed the Ford Racing/Ground Force kit on my truck, and we compared the rear height. Mine was indeed about another inch lower. Mines an 01

Makes me want to get the 01/02 leafs. Al and I put our trucks together also and I couldn't believe how much lower my front end looked compared to his... I should've gotten a pic. He has the same kit also but it's not installed yet.
