Predator Noob ?

Hey guys,

This might seem to be a dumb question but i cant find the freaking answer.

I bought a predator, read the manual front to back, top to bottom. I know how to use it pretty good.
My question is the following.
I want to do some datalogging and cant really find anything that tells me how do i start the truck with the pred connected?

Every search I have done always contains "do not turn key to start vehicle".
The manual tells you how to datalog, but i couldnt find the section that tells you when to start the truck.

I apologize if this has been asked before, but i honestly couldnt find the answer. I looked on several Forums.

Thanks,

Just start your truck, then plug in the predator, and datalogg from there.

(another experience here...)
I don't know that it matters. I've left mine plugged in and logging while I drove around, cut the truck off, came back and cranked the truck, drove around some more......It seems like you get all stars on the display until you turn the key---then some things will show (exp. IAT) then when you crank it, more things- like timing- show up...

I felt the same way you did the first time I started to load a program.....it really doesn't tell you in the manual exactly what order to do the steps.

Just finished doing some logging on teh way home from work.
Didnt get any stars, but couldnt find where to log the IAT2 temps.
No biggie though, im sure i will find it.

I unplugged it when i turned the truck off though. Dont really feel 100% comfortable leaving it plugged in and turning the truck on/off.

Now to upload the data to my pc.
