Q regarding CAI...
Rookie question, but I've only had my L for a week....
I'm chomping at the bit to buy something for my new truck, and thought a CAI would be a good start. So my question is:
At what point is a new tune necessary on these engines? I plan on putting a "Stage 1" kit in soon, i.e. CAI, 4# pulley, FTVB, and a Predator. But for now, can I just install a CAI and not worry about the computer retune? I would think so, but I thought it best to ask.

The tune really will wake these things up!
As far as *having to* get a new tune... A CAI is perfectly fine. I'd say the limit is a 4#er. And even at that level you ought to drop the plugs down one range. But.. a tune on top of that 4# lower & having a CAI will make you look like this..
