Another tire question

Im about to order the boyd smoothies and couldnt decide on which tire to go with. I have searched and found that many went with 295's and some 305'. What are the differences in the tires? What are the pros and cons of each size, and what is the middle number of the tire size represent? Sorry dont know alot about tire sizes. Thanks for the help.

why go for just one size?
Do it like me and go 275/40/20 up front and 315/35/20 on the rear

In my case all 4 tires are allmost exactlly the same height as the stock F1's the front are about inch narower, and the rears are about a inch wider. I know it is hard to tell by the pics, but it looks bad A$$es in person
