Nitto 555

Anyone have these on their L? If so how are they (I.e wear, performance etc.) compared to Toyo Proxes and F1's?

Considering putting these on next time I change the tires.

Thanks! -

I just put a pair on the back of my L. Only a few miles, but they seem to hook a lot better than my old F1's and the cost (200/per) was a lot better than the F1's. I'm waiting for a little more $$ to get the fronts.

Purchase the 555's with confidence. They are bad-*** tires, and unlike the F1's, the bead protects the rim edge.

That is an excellent selling feature in itself.

Horrible tires. Waste of money. I did not try the DR's though.

How do they wear VS. the F1's? Anyone want to chime in on how they handle in the rain ?

I don't know about the 555's but the DR's suck in the rain and don't expect much wear beyond 10,000 miles. They did hook better than my F-1's but another member had better 60' times than I did with the Nitto's (He had F-1's!).

HI!... I've been running NITTO 555R's on my truck for about 4 months now. They have about 1/2 tread left on them. They are a GREAT tire for the street. They hook like a ****. I actually think they hook excelent in the rain. I'll spin for about 10FT and they hook and your gone. I'm running the 305/45/R18's. Now that I have the 3000 P.I converter in they spin a bit out of the hole but when THEY hook, they HOOK!!!!! I luv them. A few of my buddies have AWD turbo cars, and I can out launch both of them on the street.

Talking I got nitto 555

I got all four nitto 555 on my truck and they suck in the rain. I guess most Z rating tires are not very good on wet surfaces......I am not sure on the F1...........

Those with the 305/45R18's Nitto DR's... did it throw off your speedo much by switching to a taller tire? I'd love to get them for the rear, but not sure if it'll hurt my speedo.
