Turbo L

Well here is the deal I blew another motor well not really it appears that the factory chain tensioner on the cams gave away ate up my oil pump. So I am done with the supercharged L I am now having a 88 mm turbo motor built. Manley rods Je .020 pistons CNC ported heads, custom grind turbo cams and custom built intake By Me! Looking for the magic 800 hp 1000 ft# of tq But now I am scared that the manley Rods will not hold together are there any other options out there besides Carillo?

Carillo is the way to go. Thats the rod Ford used in the last Cobra-R (5.4L).

Manley also makes a forged I-Beam rod that will hold up to 1000hp. I have these in my stroker race motor.

We were planning on the I beams but 800 hp at the rear wheels is pushing the 1000 hp limit so I am not real happy with that either.

I believe Sal at PSP has a 1200hp set-up, so you might want to give him a call for help.

I was referring to the regular Cobra of today, not the "R".
