2003 F-159 Xenon Changed Bulbs

I just replaced my factory headlamp 9007 with Xenon 9007. According to the dealer, if you change out the bulds for HiD it could melt the existing wire. Has anyone done this, and have they had any problems? Also, I was going to replace the factory fog lamps with "true blue" 9006. Will this work on the 03' F-150?

Thanks
RWBA

Talking high wattage bulbs

Well, I am new with Fords but for Hondas and other import cars, if you go with higher wattage bulbs, their is a chance of melting them wires........I install the Phillip super white and the cool blue for my fog lamps and they are fine since I am just only 10 wattage over the stock and its a big different since the stock are yellowish.......... Most of the aftermarket bulbs are rated at 100 to 130 wattages and those are the one you might have to think about since they are the one will melt the wires by the housings...............I seem many of them on the imports.............
