i have a "total" of 3000....
of course i dont drive around with it at peak... that would be crazy... 3000 is the peak, but depending on the mood or the weather is how load i turn it up. i havent done any of the big three... i have thought about getting my alt rewound though cause i dont want to pay the money that they want for a high output alt for our truck. on my long drives when i drove from va to michigan i would crank it up at night to stay awake and wouldnt notice any dimming.

If so, let me know what you used. I'm wanting to avoid the usual dimming issues when my stereo install is complete.

1: yes (0 guage to frame)
2: no (the wire is pretty big to begin with and a bitch to get to)
3: no
Your lights are gonna dim as long as they are on the same 12v system as a huge stereo..
I've got a 15 farad cap on my system & my lights dim at full volume.. (1200w x 1 into 2 12" L7's & 75w x 4 into the rest)
