White plugs?!

Well just my luck, it started raining right after i tightened up the last coil pack on the passenger side. So I guess Ill go ahead and do the other four (DS) tommorow , weather permiting.

The first and fourth plug on the passenger side were very white. The 2nd and 3rd were burning nicely. Gets me kind of nervous of the mixture. No chip no pulley. Although it is obvious there was a chip before the previous owner traded it in. Fuel filter was replaced about 8-10k miles ago. ......any ideas or dont worry about it?

Wasnt too bad only took 30min. I can imagine the DS will be a lot harder though.

Thanks,
Jon

OH YA

White is a sign it's running too lean, or the plugs are too hot, or fuel delivery problem, clogged filter, or injector.
3rd and 4th plug back on the DS are the usual lean cylinders,
My guess is, they'll be white, or burnt if others are.

If you have no chip and Pulley's, I'd change that fuel filter immediatly, add some good injector cleaner, and run some very high octane through it a while, and check an easy plug in a week.

BTW
My fuel filter clogged in a few K once, all it takes is one tank of crappy gas

GOOD LUCK JON

Thanks Rob, excellent advise. I just gotta get back off the couch and finish the last four. Rain stopped, unfortunetly Ill let yah know how the 4 ds plugs are looking once i get them out.

Im gonna go run to autozone get some injector cleaner and a new filter. As far as the high octance, Im **** out of luck. Just the regular BP 93octane.

Well well see what we got here. Thanks again.

Isn't green an indication of lean? Not white.

Well I got 7 out of 8 plugs in under an hour. Not too shabby for first time eh? It got dark out, figure Ill get that last plug tommorw when I can see what I'm doing. 2 of the plugs on the DS showed up white.

I bought some fuel injector cleaner and a new fuel filter. Throw that trash on tommorow when I replace that last plug. She seems to have better response though. Nice eh.

Thanks for the help, hope this works.
