Polution Canister Removal?

Can anyone tell me what issues if any our trucks will have if we remove the pollution canister that’s mounted under the truck by the spare tire area?

I have a customer of mine who is doing an air bag kit on his truck which is strictly a show truck and dose not have cats any ways.

Thanks allot in advance and Merry Christmas to you all.

the evap charcoal canistor? (absorbes fuel vapours)

if you remove it the check engine light will come on - as the fuel tank pressure is monitored by the pcm - the pressure changes as the canistor is purged thus when the pcm sees no change it will set a code and turn the light on.

You should be able to turn that off with your chip/tuner. Not sure what code it would throw, but I am almost 100% sure you can.

Biggest issue I would see with doing it is how would you vent the tank safely?
