Power Cooler

can someone explain this to me a little more? what exactly does it do? I know its a box that holds ice, but how does it cool the engine?

also, other than the battery location, where else can it be installed?

and how effective is it?

It does'nt cool the engine. It cools the air flowing accross the IC a little better. (especially in summertime heat)

I believe some have put them in the bed of the truck?

It's effectiveness really comes down to the conditions your operating under. IMO parking the truck w/the hood open for about 45 minutes is an awfully good way to go. Cheap too.. ...but then again I live in Mi and it's comparitively cool up here.

Scott,

Before you do that, I'd recommend a larger heat exchanger with a puller fan. Terry can put a switch on it, so that when you're in the pits or staging lanes, you can turn the fan on without having to turn the ignition on. I think in the summer this will be very effective.
