I would just like to give a big thanks to JDM Engineering.
I have been wanting to do this for a LONG time so here it is:
I would like to thank EVERYONE at JDM for what they have done for me and my truck over these last few years. Sure it has been a bumpy road but they have me loving my Lightning more then ever. They have gone well above the call of duty in my opinion and it is appreciated. Everyone knows my horror story with my first(couple of) motor(s). JDM had offered a lending hand way back in May by offering to tear down the current motor at the time. I had brought the truck there to be tuned since it had a dangerously rich situation. They spent DAYS on the truck, with dyno time, welding up new mid pipes, installing O2 sensors and a new SCT chip in tune. The power was not there and the motor smoked bad. Jim finally gave up on the motor after several days/time/money invested. He still offered to tear the motor day at a killer price. I told Jim I would pick the truck up and bring it back once the motor was fixed. I went to JDM with $3,000 in my pocket FULLY EXPECTING to be charged at least $2,000. New SCT flip chip, New O2's, New mid pipes, countless hours on the dyno and street. Jim said he felt bad he could not get my truck to run right. He handed me a bill that did not even cover all the parts that were put on the truck, but insisted on it. I paid the bill and and threw him some extra because he said he was going to dinner with Paul Gamino that night, so I told him to buy. I wanted to have them look at the truck then but waited, hoping everything would work out. It didn't.
Finally I decided in the end of September it was time to let them work their magic. I brought the truck down on a Thursday night and they started pulling the motor on Saturday(FAST!). Had the whole truck ready to go in four weeks! While Jim was away for 2 of those 4! Had the truck on the dyno a few days before JDM day and made great power. Then a few days later I made my debut run with a 10.97@123 with not even 15 miles on the motor! Now I have close to 1,000 miles on her and am loving every minute of it. I spent last Wed. at JDM to get a new tune for 93 octane and made 584RWHP and 623RWTQ with an 8lb lower and 3.30 upper. 12 degrees of timing for a safe winter tune. Not bad! Jim gave me the upper, and came back from a test drive saying my truck was too loud. HaHa. Kooks L/T's, catless mids and a Silver Bullet will do that. I asked what I could do to quiet it down and not lose a lot of power. Jim said: "let me look around and see if I have anything laying around you could use." 5 minutes later he comes out with 2 new high flow cats, I quickly grin but know I can't afford them thinking I have a new dyno tune to pay for. Jim told me to go put them in my truck. The rest is history. I left JDM feeling great and knowing once again: I was part of the FAMILY!
JDM has been there for me thru it all:
Oct 01' - 13.10 with a chip and filter in 90* heat
02' - going thru many pulley changes and bolt-ons!
03' - Kenne Bell!
Nov 03' - 11.37@118 on a STOCK LONG BLOCK at FULL WEIGHT
Oct 04- - 10.97@123 FULL WEIGHT
I probably won't make it back to the track for the rest of the year.
05' - Truck will be broken in and I will be shooting for 10.60's FULL WEIGHT and Low 10's with a little bit of Nitrous if all goes well. I need to pay off these bills and keep my truck first!
Thanks JDM!
It truely is appreciated!

Mat,
Stories like yours is what makes for great reading. I am very happy for you and you deserve it..
Not everyone will be happy period...No matter what a tuner will do for them. But JDM for one has made enough people feel the same way as you do to know they are the real deal..
Congratulations JDM for another happy satisfied customer, and for Mat telling it like it is..

Man, that Jim is puting out fires left and right.
Matt, I know exactly how you feel since I went through basically the same ordeal. I'm glad your happy with your new motor. The whole JDM team made me love my truck again too. My grin gets bigger every time I roll up to the timeslip booth and they hand me a 10 second timeslip.
They really are a great group of people.
