I know there is a few of you who say F1's are fine in the winter...

I don't know which form of winter you guys see, but we received 6 inches of snow today, and I can't even make it up my driveway, which is barely steep enuf to roll a marble down.

Picked up some 225/75/16s and steel rims,

I run 255-65-16 perilli scorpions ice&snow with 4 16x8 AR baja's here in Vermont.

 

I also run Scorpion Ice & Snow tires. I have 275-55-17s on 17x8 AR Baja wheels.

 

 

 

What brand and $ for your tires and steel rims?? And where did you get them from?

TO EVERYBODY:

If your like me your not into changing rims in the winter i found the solution for the STOCK rims. On discount tire i found Nitto 404 extreme force tires that are v rated AND mud and SNOW rated. i put them on this weekend and they handle amazing and the thread depth are 10x thicker then the f'1s. The greatest part is the price. I paid 127.00 a tire and the final cost was 508 shipped to my door for all for. How can you beat that!!!ps the size of the tires are 285/50r/18

 

I never had a problem with F1's in the snow... I thought they handled rather well for what they were. I had them in both Michigan and NE Ohio winters... the past few seasons have been record snowfalls, and I never once changed tires or put weight in the bed. I thought the truck was just fine in the snow... deep slush wasn't an issue either. Just my $.02, but I think the stock wheels and tires are just fine in the elements.
