Open Headers on Dyno

Opened headers on dyno....lost 30 horse. Go figure.

Shows you how much I know, I'd figure you would loose a little torque, and maybe pick up some HP.

Did you loose boost?

What was your before and after A/F?

How much tq did you loose?

My ears hurt just thinking how loud that thing was @ 5500rpm.

I sure *** heck know it sounds like crap. Had to replace the cats and started the L up with a few revs.
Sounded like a 1979 Silverado w/ open manifolds

It was pretty much equally lower all the way thru the power band. AF was the same as I have closed loop engine management. (FAST/SpeedPro). Im sorry I didn't check the boost, but I have data log and I will.

It was loud but not very pleasant. A very loud low pitched drone. Have everyone leave the room and as loud as you can go like this: BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I've often wondered if it would help to "un cap" the headers at the track. Glad I never gave it more than a passing thought
