Aftermarket seats?

Has anyone here gone to aftermarket seats? I know Don's Bolt and LightningGuy have. (https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...31#post1491231)

I'd just like to know where I can get the seat brackets, adapters, etc. and whether I can still use the power motor for the driver's seat.

Pics would be appreciated as well...

Recaro has brackets and trip peices that allow you to to mount oup the seats and still retain the power controls from the stock seats.

The Recaro Sports are about the most comfortable seats I have ever sat in. If you are going to use them with a 5 point racing harness the pass through for the sholder belts are to high if you are 5'10 or shorter.

While I love my seats I am looking for a set of seats that will allow me to use the harness more safelly.

I will add you to the list for the seats if I do sell them, you are now #3 I am still trying to get Recaro to do something for me, but they are not very customer driven.

The console is a regular F150 console.

Stupid cool. The best Lightning seat out there.

If Recaro made a wide version, they would already be in my truck.

Don: You would complete the transformation with some black carpeting -- or at least black mats.

Most Corbeau seats are the widest, so they are my only choice.

Don- It looks like you're using the factory electric sliders. Can you please tell me what's involved in installing a Recaro in the L? Besides the seats what else do you need, or does it just bolt to the Ford base?

Thank you!

I did a little research last night over on NLOC and a guy named cyntaxx told me you could purchase adapters and new base brackets for whatever you're wanting to do. From what I understand, you can buy some sort of an adapter plate to mate your aftermarket seat to the factory power motor bracketry. Dunno about the passenger one? Guess you just need an entire new assembly for it?
