Borla + LTs + hi-flow cats

Hey guys. Is there anyone using this exhaust combo? I have a Borla catback, that I kept when I switched to the Silver Bullet exhaust; and, I want to switch it back on. I added long tubes and cats since the switch; so, now I am worried about having too much back pressure. I'm also running a Magnum Powers blower case with a 6# lower pulley on a stock block.

The Silver Bullet is just too loud and there is absolutely no back pressure at all. I'd like a little back pressure for better feel (read torque) on the bottom end at light throttle, while driving around town.

I pulled away from a light the other day and a pedestrian actually put his hands over his ears like I was gonna make him go deaf or something. That was only with a light roll out at part throttle. I knew it was loud; but, that's just a little too much. I get glass-pack comments fairly often. I'm just not a glass-pack guy. Most people like the sound and that wouldn't be the deciding issue for me. The weak feeling when accelerating under light throttle is just irritating. When I let off of the gas at 70 mph, there is no back pressure rumble either. I like that sound and want it back. I don't want to be too quiet though.

I was also wondering if there was a way to quiet up the exhaust..
I have the Kooks , bassani cats, and bassani catback. id like to tone it down a bit... Is there Baffles, or perhaps mini mufflers or somthing you can add to tone it down a notch ?

I have a friend with shorties ,highflows and borla and its not really that loud. You might like it if you want to tone yours down.
I have Kooks ,magnaflow cats and a Bassani catback and I love the sound !!

Odin, all I have on my L is a Magnaflow catback, but a friend of mine has LT's, hi-flow Magnaflow cats and the Magnaflow catback, and it may be the sound you're looking for. I know with just the Magnaflow catback I installed, it doesnt feel like I lost any low-end torque, and the rumble is nice (during acceleration as well as lift-off at 70 or so). Maybe the Borla's will sound nice with your LT's and mids, but by themselves, they are too quiet in my opinion. Hopefully someone will have a sounclip for you, because "testing" these combos like you have been can get pricey. But you dont come across too many folks that have gone LT's with a Borla (usually Bassani, Silver Billet and Magnaflows). Best of luck in your search.
