Truck shuts off at WOT..help!?

Ok my 2000 L has run great for 4 years. I have a 4lb pulley, a chip, and a filter. I recently had the Eaton ported by Apten and have not had it retuned yet. Twice since the porting my truck has shut off at WOT. No stumbling, no hesitation, I mean it literally shuts off. It has done it once at the strip and once on the street. After I pull over (sans power steering and brakes ) I can put it in park and he starts right back up. What is up with that? Could it be so lean that it would shut off? Is it maybe a spark plug gap issue? I have Denso's that are gapped at whatever was recommended for the 4lb pulley. All comments welcome. Thanks!

Make sure you have OVER a quarter tank of gas at ALL times when racing or playing around on the street....Actually my truck needs atleast 1/2 tank....I have experienced the SAME problem, but NEVER with 1/2 tank of gas....

Give it a try and let us know!!!

Had the exact same thing happen to me and my 01 L and that will scare the 'poop' out of you! It was the chip. It was NOT loose. It 's contacts had too little 'clamping power' You need a new chip.

If the contacts on the chip itself look contaminated you may want to take a pencil eraser and "Shine them up". The best thing for better contact is to have someone that can solder, tin the pins. This will give a shiny look and provide a good electrical connection. Plus it will slightly thicken the pins for better connection/insertion.

I do some automotive module repair, and find that poor, tarnished, or cold solder joints is the top issue.
