Modified a skateboard bearing press to properly install new NTN bearings in ALL my idlers. Works like a charm and the bearings go in straight without crushing the casing. A problem I was having when using a rubber hammer and large socket to install bearings before.

 

Are you a fellow Mechanical Engineer? If not you should be, you always have crazy ideas that come out great, look great, and good quality.

One of the bearings in mine are going out. What part number? and where did you get them?

I got mine on Ebay for $2 apiece.

Ebay Beaings (NTN) = 6203LU / 6203C3

Metco High Speed Bearngs (NTN) = 6203LLUC3/L627
