Blown engines and year of truck.......

Are some years more prone to blown engines???

No. It's the excessive timing for the fuel being used that pops them.

Or running lots of boost and not enough fuel.

how much is to much timing?
As long as A/F is 12 i'm good to go?

I would bet a hundred to one that 99% of the blown motors out there was due to Bad tuning.

Its all in the tune. I was running a chip filter an 2LB pulley for a couple months on 90 octane. My engine never blew and I was doing quite a few WOT bursts.
