Arrow San Antonio L's

Tomorrow night looks like it's going to be in the low 40's. I'm thinking of driving up to the track and making a few passes. Anybody interested?

Traction wasn't to bad. After I made my first pass, some bada$$ chick on a bike ran through the end of the track. Her first run she clicked off a 9.40 ish run then her second run she clicked off a 10ish but couldn't stop. They lifeflighted her out. The announcer said she was conscious and talking and per the flight medic she would probably live to race another day.

By the time they started racing again it was 11:00 so I only got a couple of passes for the night. I was at full weight (4990 per the scales) on my F1's.

First Pass

60' - 1.98
ET - 12.90
MPH - 107.40

Second Pass
60' - 1.96
ET - 12.85
MPH - 107.48

There were some other L's there as well. Hey jboss it was good to meet you. jboss has one sweet looking L. He took a pass down the the 1320' but he just couldn't hook up.

Hey Steele why don't you knock up some rich movie star and
GET YOUR FRIGGIN BEAST FIXED!!! Better yet let one knock you up!

All in all it was a good night and I was happy with the performance of my truck. I think traction bars, slicks and some weight reduction might knock off another couple of tenths or at least I hope so.

The best part of the night was finding out that the young lady that crashed her bike was going to live.

Thanks for the compliment txoutlaw!!. Like I said It's more of a show truck than anyhting else.) I spun threw 1st and 2nd and had to let off....by the time I staightened her out I was done. It was good to meet you and glad to hear that the girl is OK. My girlfriend and I had fun just wish there was more time for racing. Hope to see you again!!

Thanks Clay! The programer is awesome and the tune is kick a$$ just as you said it was. Troyer must really know his business. Do you regret selling it yet?

I have been thinking of going with the SCT Xcalibrator in a couple of months but I'm doing some research to see what the pros and cons are first.

Have you heard anything about it?

We need to get everyone to the track one Friday night. Maybe we could get Steele to actually go out there and then we can shame him into into fixing his friggin truck.

good times!!
I'm gonna plan on Dec 22 (wed) to venture down to SAR again. see if I can inprove on my 12.70 @ 107.48 w/1.85

just got back from the dyno, not so sure about my numbers, seem high. I dynoed my '04 stock in April:
356.0 rwhp & 427.1 rwtq SAE

So today the truck has
3lb lower,
Muffler and pipes to clear my T-bars,
SCT Race tune (JDM),
100 oct gas,
stock airbox with holes cut
K&N panel filter.
That's it! I dynoed it today:

402.2rwhp & 496.3rwtq SAE (+46.2 hp & +69.2 tq over stock)
412.0rwhp & 508.4rwtq STD

Good gawd those are great numbers for the mods you have!!! I think you will defintely accomplish a new personal record. I will do my best to make it up to SAR on the 22nd so I can see you run your best time ever.

How about it Clay, Nathan, Josh, Steele, you guys up for a night at the track on Dec 22nd? Steele, you and I can take turns running my truck down the 1320.

I think the torque is up too much, maybe 10-12 ft lbs after looking at the graph on the dynojet run viewer. I have a vid as well and you can hear when he lays into it, the rpms drop just a tad then go back, just prior to that dip is the peak torque, it's not a shift spike though, guessing something with the torque convertor.

A/F was pretty steady between 12.4 - 12.6.

I'm sure if there is no headwind like last time, I can squeeze a 12.6 out of her

Isn't the A/F a little lean? I forgot all about the head wind. He!! you may run a 12.5x without a 20 mph head wind. Wouldn't that be saaweet!!

You guys still up for heading to the track tonight?

Edit: Looks like I'm out. Just checked the weather...18mph wind out of the North. I have a hard enough time getting down the track as it is, no need to run against a head wind like that.
