Converter/ Tune ?

Do I need a new tune after my 2,600 stall is in? If so why and what should I expect if I dont get it tuned right away?

Cool

HI!... It all depends on your mods and the way your truck is set-up. I just upgraded to a P.I *STALLION* 9.5" 2800-3000RPM stall converter. Did this after ballooning 4 other converters. The 1ST thing I noticed was that the lock-up is VERY aggressive and feels like another gear. Too aggressive for me so I had MIKE TROYER soften the lock-up engagement a bit. Also my lock-up times were all screwed up. After shifting from 1st to 2nd gear, it took 10 seconds for the converter to lock-up. I'm not even in 2nd gear for 10 seconds when racing at the track. So major power was left on the table. Also 3rd gear didn't lock the converter till about 5 seconds after the finish line and I was pulling some major RPM. About 5200RPM going through the traps compared to 4300RPM before the converter change. Mike T will be fixing both of these problems for me. He's the MAN!!!!!
