Question on RPM's

Driving normal around town my L shifts gears at 1500 rpm's, is this normal? My friend says his L shifts at 200rpm.

Do you mean 2000?1500 does sound a little low.I wouldnt be concerned.Its the WOT shifts u should be worried about.1500 rpm shifts at WOT =20.00 sec E.T.lol..

He was saying that my 1500rpm 1-2 shift sounds high even just barely pressing the gas pedal, his shifts almost immediately in slow driving and he has a 2500 stall converter, go figure.

BTW he does do an 11.7 in the 1/4 mile.
