Arrow Air force one intake question??

I have it set up and seems to be a good intake BUT,the part that connects to the fender (where the air filter meets up) it won't stay in. Crappy design!! can anybody give me some ideas on how to fix this problem?

thanks

Stangd,
If I am understanding you correctly you are having a problem with the horn looking tube that connects to the end of the filter by the supplied hose clamp to the bracket?
If so I had the same problem because my filter has a slight downward angle(I think partly due to the AF1 metal intake tube's angle) and the hoseclamp is on a solid mount perpindicular(sp).
I tried to angle it as much as I could and get it secured as much as possible on the filter end but it seemed to still slide partially or completly off and that being due to the filter flexing w/the engine when you get on it. After trying a couple different things and getting the a** I just took it off and have it sitting under the end of the filter on top of the wheel well there as a support for the filter weight. It actually has worked well and you are still going to get a draw of fresh air in thru the well opening to the open end of the filter and you dont even notice it under there.
Wont be a problem for me much longer though since I ordered a PSP Fastair Kit.
Well I know this is long man and hope it helped but it was good to vent about that damn snorkle, ardvark looking piece. Huge filter and nice though. Good luck.

I put enough tension on the steel tube so that it forces the boot to crimp a little and it holds fine. I'm going to go to Home Depot later this morning to get a 6" to 4" hard rubber reducer like another local L brother has done.

One thing I did not do also that some one told me is that there is a small hole at the end of the filter and you could screw the end piece on like that as well. Not a bad thought then you could leave the hose clamp a little looser to allow for engine flex. Just a thought. Peace.

I had the same problem. I took a wire tie and tied the horn piece on then I put the hose clomp around the tube and just snugged it loosley. It has worked well fo over a year.
