I know this is a little off topic but I see that the 04 and newer F-150's have a double din opening for the radio. I have an 03 L and the opening looks very close to a double din. Has anyone tried to fit a DD radio into their L? I am not concerned with an EZ fit, but I don't want it to look like a hack job either. I have not taken the stock radio out yet and I was wondering if the sides of the opening go straight back or if there are obstructions. Any help would be appreciated.

 

im not 100% sure but i think our trucks have a 1 1/2 din opening.
