Hey AL,
Joe with the Silver Lightning & Black Rims if I am not mistaken has the 2.5" Cervinis Cowl Hood/Phenolic Spacer & C&L Plenum. NO PROBLEMS WITH CLEARANCE.... However we did have an issue with a Black 99 Lighnting that had a Cobra Cowl Hood with the snorkels with the Spacer & Plenum on it.

Thats because the cobra snorkled cowl hood is steel and has cross brackets underneath.Whereas the cervini fiberglass hood has much more clearance underneath. I know, I have the cervini Cowl hood.
