Since he is not really getting a definate commitment from Johnny or Sal he has decided to make some plans to get the ball rolling.

He will rent a track in late Feb. or Early march (more details to come on track and exact date). Nothing against LFest as I intend to go this year, but to hold a grudge match 10 months form now is a little far off. Besides the Lfest can be a great rematch day.

This will consisit of all JDMs 10 second trucks and Johnny and Sal w/ there trucks are invited (Just like before nothing has changed, Like Jim said 'RUN WHAT YA BRUNG').

If they decide not to show for whatever reason it will still be a great day of racing. With a lot of Fun had by all and hopefully some LOW,LOW E.T.s.

This will be a GREAT way to start the 05 Season.

just based on location, this does not translate to many of Sals faster trucks being able to go there to race... I know Im not about to travel that far... Lfest is the farthest I will go... and really dont want to go that far.

can anyone race like on JDM Day, or is this one only for the super fast guys to lay down some record ETs ??? If anyone can race I'd like to go and try for my first 11. Either way I'll 99% be there, just wanna know if I should bring my gear with me.

 

I hate it when people say they dont want to drive. Newsflash you spent all that money on the truck and all the mods and you dont want to drive the truck or choose not to. Tell me whats the point of having a truck that you dont like to drive, only 1/4 mile at a time. Just my personal opinion that drives me nuts how people put so much money into their trucks and drive them less and less. THEIR MADE TO BE DRIVEN!!!

 

You know what I hate, is MORONS who can't look at the location under the name.

Some of Sal's customers are from Texas and California, do you really expect them to drive to NJ for 4 hours worth of racing.

Real easy to say for a local NE boy!

I'm sure Madness is in the same boat as many on this. When you drive any vehicle from Texas to New England, race, and drive back - this represents a HUGE amount of time. This alone makes it very hard for many to do. When you factor in the wear and tear and the real possibility of having to cobble together a 1200 mile or more return trip should something break, its not hard to have a problem with that.

This is that much worst for the left coast guys!

Some people will do it, some people won't. But you are right about people having jobs as well as families!!!

I, for one, am single, and self employeed!! Makes things easy for me when events like this happen!!!

 

 

The ultimate decision on that is Jims , but I think this event wil be more geared toward built motor , all out , low 10 high 9 second passes.

Besides Robs online mag thing, Jim is also working on Magazine coverage and a possible videographer to tape this.

Again if Johnny and Sal come on board then the tuner plus 5 customers is still on.

I think this could turn out to be AWESOME.
