Unhappy Please help

Alright first: I washed under the hood about two weeks ago and the L ran like sh$t for a few hours (got a coil wet) it ran just fine later that day. It ran fine for the rest of the week. I parked it on a sunday and went out of town for one day.........it rained like hell for that day. I got in my truck tonight to move it for TORNADO reasons and it ran like sh$t again. It had a rough idle and sounded like one of those OLD cars going down the road with a stuttering exhaust and didn't do anything while in boost. I drove it to a fellow L owner here in San Antonio and the thought was maybe a bad coil pack or a bad fuel injector. Maybe from the previous water problem (above) I cracked a spark plug. The smell out of the exaust is pretty bad!!!!

Any ideas? I need this puupy up and running ASAP. What would you guys think to get checked out first...second............

Thanks for any input!!!!!!!!!

They easest and quickest thing to check is the IAC (Idle air control unit)

It is located on the left had side of the upper plenum. It is held in place by 2 bolts. Remove it and spray some cleaner in it move the little valve in it back inforth with a tooth pick. Then shake out the cleaner/ degreaser and spray a small amout of WD-40 in it shake of the excess and reinstall start the truck up and see what happens. This unit has a direct effect on idel, gas milliage, and power.

Thanks Suavy
I will try that this weekend. We tried unplugging the coil packs and the fuel injectors one by one, but nothing (while starting after each removal) If it's not the IAC what els could it be. I will be taking it to a mechanic tomorrow. thanks.
