Ive heard that the stock block will reaches potential at 450, so u might have to build that up to reach ur 500 goal, then of course either a Kenne Bell S/C or Port your Eaton and add a big pully. Someone else will answer with more detail im sure.

Are you looking for RWHP or flywheel hp, because you could get 500 flywheel hp with boltons which would equal about 300-340 rwhp, or if its RWHP your looking for than Dman is correct go get a built block heads cams and a ported eaton and a tune should set you right at 500-520 RWHP.

500 hp (target)
minus 360hp (already have)
equals 140 needed.

BUY a 140 hp shot of nitrous system.

(fastest way, not hte best way)

Why is nitrous not the best way? I will admit that nitrous isn't as daily friendly as boost, but it's better on the motor than 'hot' boost.

1st bit of advice, spend some time reading the boards there are several great message boards out there. before you rush out and do something to destroy your motor yuou must understand it'll take several well place parts to achieve 500 rwhp. it can be done on a stock block but it will be one the edge and one tank of bad gas can cost you dearly.

ask lots of questions, ignore the b.s. and hopefully we wont see you posting about you just went and threw a rod or 2 through the block.

RDY2RAC:

How's that Novi working out for you?

Is is "streetable?"

You are one of the few people able to comment from experience on a centrifugal swap and I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts after living with it for a while now.

KB, headers/mids, bigger mass air, good tune, colder plugs, nice ram air intake, and have fun trying to get traction

iRideSVT,
500rwhp on stock internals is pushing it...but....as stated above...it is all in the tune.

There are a couple of places in Tampa that do good work. I get all my work done with Sam at Coastal Dyno in Brandon. He works on alot of guys Lightnings. Here is his website

Ummm 500 Flywheel HP, wouldnt that equal about 430-450 RWHP? Cause our trucks come with 360-380 flywheel and people Dyno at 330-360 RWHP, so by what u said adding 100 HP to the flywheel will decrease our RWHP???

If u are looking for a safe 500 RWHP Build the block dude, just do some searches and u will see that many have blown their engine going past that 450 mark.
