11s?

Well I've been looking and looking for a Lightning the past month, just still not sure on what to get. I've had a 1999 Z28, ans a 2002 Z28, loved em both. Now I ahve a 04 Edge Ranger that needs to be traded in on something worthwhile.

Anyways.. I'm still in need of a truck and something that's quick. I really love Lightning's and want to purchase one.. but wanna find a good deal and this and that...

One thing that i'm worried about is a 11 second vehicle, i've always wanted one, and now it's time to get it. Is there any 11 Second, stock internal lightnings? I was thinkin maybe upper/lower pulleys, exhaust, slicks, cai, and maybe a little nitrous if needed..

Just seeing what the deal was with the 11 Seconds out there.. still might get me another camaro, and a beater truck but just not sure yet.

Yup there are a few but you really pushing stock internals at that point.
Rob02 has made a hand full of high 11s passes. Fast Freddy/South Jersy usa is deep into the 11s on a stock block and there are more that I jsut cant name off the top of my head.
Low 12s can be attained with ease IMHO. Ive ran 12.65 @ 109 with full weight/ full tank of gas and on F1s. Take a little weight off and add some slicks traction bars LOW 12s are in order. Then top it off with a convertor and maybe a 11.99 might pop out?
I only have a 4# lower, plugs, intake, dyno tune, FTVB and a usless Borla catback. I think my truck runs very stong though considering my mods and a raceweight of 5,000#s.
Canton racer over @ NLOC has similar mods as me but weights in 200#s less race weight and has been a 12.45 @ 111 mph on F1s only.

Here is a list of mods for low 12s maybe high 11s with a tailwind.

FTVB
4# lower
Intake
Colder plugs
GOOD DYNO TUNE ( its all in the tune )
Supercooler
Traction bars
Slicks
Convertor
Maybe remove the spare, hitch and tail gate.

With those mods you set at pretty safe power output but let launch, traction and weight removal do the rest.

Awesome Info man, just what I needed.

Now to find a nice lightning.. really want a 02+, but if I can find a really good deal on a '99+ I wouldn't mind getting one, the intercooler could be switched out.. no biggie.

I'm pumped..

Does anyone have that website that shows every single difference for each year Lightning produced?

heads up

i know someone selling thier 02 Lightning. It's runn 12.2's and was gonna put a convertor in it for an 11 pass.

Look for Eluzion on here. Don't know what he's asking.

As far as differences go....

***Color matched side view mirrors for 2000. Changed orientation of brake light on tail lights.

***New wheels for 01-02. New head, fog, marker and tail lenses. New LED tail light. Upgraded intercooler and reflashed computers leading to 20 more hp. Went to 373 rear gears. Used Bilstein shocks front and back. Went to an aluminum drive shaft.

***New wheels for 03-04. New in dash changer rather than behind the seat. Storage compartments on dash (some 01-02's have these too). New computers for 03-04. Polished looking door handles on interior. Some 03-04's have different rear badges that just say F150 on them.......and not SVTF150.
