I had my check engine light come on the other day on my 03 L. I also had my engine running a little ruff at idle and on slit throttle opening.
I took it to the dealer (under warranty still); they found the EGR pressure feedback (PFE) exhaust back pressure that they replaced on the engine service light. Then they found my #1 coil pack bad, they replaced it also. Now my truck purrs like a kitten again. It’s been doing this for a while now; I had gotten use to it. Man I just can not believe how smooth she runs now. At least next time I’ll know what to do when she start this ruff idle again.

Question for you people, what could have caused this coil pack to go bad so soon?? (29000 miles) I have friends (no they are not L owners) that say it is normal for our coil packs to hold water, and causes them to go bad. Is this right??

My 01 L has 77,900 miles on it with one plug change that I did. I've not had a bad coil pack yet .
