First off, congrats Chickn1 for your awesome time...you should be very proud. I personally know and understand what goes into building a fast street truck and it's not always easy. 
One thing to remember, everyone has their day in the light. You deserve the recognition, but it never lasts forever. There will always be someone faster with more ambition, more persistance, and sometimes more money or less sense.
Anyway, if you search through these forums or other performance forums..you'll see they all come and go. For some it's a business and for others it's a phase in their lives, either way someday it will be a memory and not worth making any enemies over.
Congrats to both you and Johnny for a job well done!

HMMMMM... I guess it's o.k. for someone to say you better be scared to JL, ( and he didn't seem offended by what I read) but when he says I'm not scared, you blow a gasket.. I really had a lot of respect for you in the beginning of this thread Chicken1, and when I personally seen you run, but the bashing has left a little to be desired.
FYI, anytime I go down the track, I'm always glad everything holds together too. Anything can happen man, you have all worked hard on your trucks and they are pioneering the L community. Settle it on the track..

what kind of stuff besides spare tire and tow hitch can you take
off the truck to get the wght down that far???? ( and keep it a street truck)

I have seen trucks weigh in with full stereo's, fiberglass bed covers, hitch, spare, 20 " replica's etc etc and only tip the scales at 5100#.
What on God's earth have you added for your truck to weight 1150# more??????

If Johnny really wanted to stand behind his challange, he would come to you, or hook you up with a tow rig to come to Cecil....both are expensive, but not compared to YOUR cost as an INDIVIDUAL to travel up there on your own!

If you have seen me, you would know I have no shame in having the dirtiest Lightning at the track. I do try to take care of it, but I love driving it more than anything. It has raced all over the east coast, and broke the law everywhere from Toronto to Key West.

Research was a joke.... I find it hard to believe that he'd be calling around to check on you.. Grow up and settle it at the track. Obviously you couldn't do it last Saturday. Maybe next time.
When he did a test run and ran a 10.70, you and your crew were laughing in the stands, very impressive if I might add, but where were you when he ran 9.99. He, to be equally mature as you, should have come to your pit and piped off laughing, but he didn't, but could've. That shows a little more class.
Anyways, I don't care for internet racing, your truck is fast and my hats off to you for your accomplishments. Good luck to you and your JDM team on future endeavors..
