im in the market for a new grill. it's for a 2000 silver lightning. i'm pretty set on black in color, im just not crazy about the honeycomb.

 

Well, if you change your mind about black, IMHO, a chrome Harley grill would look awesome in a silver L.

 

i like mine but it might look good in black its a street scene.

 

This is a carriage works grill, If you pm me I can give you a place to get them for $206 shipped to your door... I love the look... I can get some better pictures if you want

 

i just feel like chrome on silver would not go well with silver wheels. if i got chrome wheels i would get the chrome grill. is there a grill that has the 01+ look?

 

Nothing beats a Trenz Billet Grill.....

 

Is there a lot of work involved with putting on the Carriage Works or Trenz billet grills? I guess I'm just wondering about having to fab stuff up, like drilling new holes, bending them to make them fit properly, or even having to cut them (if necessary).

I'm in the same boat as you. I want a black grill for my silver L. I may go with the other one that looks kind of similar to the Speed Grill but made by a different company (can't think of the name off hand). I'll have to get it powdercoated, but that's o.k., plenty of powdercoat places in my area

Get a set of stock 01+ Grillls and paint them black. That would look nice.

 

stock 01+ grills would fit my 2000?

 

I am pretty sure they will fit right in with no modifications.
