This is what I use at work. It has more than enough beef to break the plugs loose.

I also have a real dislike for the coil packs on our engines.

I made a setup where I took the coil packs off and turned them upside down on the rails. I then ran a 10" length of Spiro-core, double isulated wire to each plug.

It created a slight amount of radio static but otherwise seemed to work just fine. However, at our Norcal Dyno session in September, my truck had a wierd bobble in the curves at about 4500 RPM that we couldn't get rid of, plugs had less than 1000 miles on them. That evening, Sal and I changed the plugs (same plug, same gap) and put the coil packs back to stock. This cured the problem.

The only explanation I can come up with is that if you look carefully at the connector spring that runs from the coil to the plug, it has a small iron core in it. This most likely is there for radio static suppression and almost certainly creates an electrical condition to which the coils are precisely matched.

So now I was back to the cursed 5mm bolts again, so I came up with another cure that works even better-

Plugs are still a PITA but no more coil screws to fight.
