Full Exhaust Or Hotchkis

Title is pretty self explanitory. I decided I am more than likely keepin my truck, so I'm debating what my next mod will be. I've decided that this winter I'm getting either the Hotchkis TV w/ 4 QA-1 adjs. or the Dynatech LTs and Mids. Now After install and everything I believe they are pretty even mods cost wise. I just cant decide which one to go with. If you guys had to pick one which is it ??

Also Question for those out there with the Hotchkis TVS, does the installation of this kit affect launching at the track be it better or worse ??

Thanks Guys.

Decided how you want to go fast. If you want to go fast around corners get the suspension, if you want to go fast straight line and make a lot of noise get the exhaust.

BTW; just Hotchkis sway bars make a big difference in the trucks

Get the exhaust, and save some $$$ for the Roush suspension.

I cant get the roush suspension because of how it cuts payload, I do use my truck for truck stuff sometimes...

Caasey, the problem is I like to do both quite abit...not so much road course, but here in ny we do have some twistie roads that are fun to take a little above the posted limit. LOL

I felt the Hotchkis kit was a great addition to my ride.
It launched much better than stock. However, with the JLP traction bars AND the Hotchkis TVS kit, the truck launches pretty darn good. I'm happy with it. Also on the turns, it feels so much more controlled. Even if I went to the track every other weekend, that's still 5% of the time that it would be going straight alone. The other 95% of the time, is why you want the suspension.

Though a full exhaust would be sweet!

Get both!

I used to buy into Hotchkis' assertion that payload is not reduced, but not any more. It just doesn't make any sense. When lowered, your a closer to bottoming out on the rear. Period. Stiffer springs mitigate this, but the Roush are stiffer than the Hotchkis, so that actually cuts in favor of Roush.

In sum, I see no real difference between payload capacities of the Hotchkis and Roush systems.

I like the Hotchkis, but if I had to do it all over again, I would probably get the Roush.

In either event, just install some helper airbags ($200) and you have all the payload capacity that you need.

Doesn't the Roush kit a little lower than the Hotchkis (which might offer marginally more payload before bottoming out)? Or do they sit pretty even?

Bell Tech front springs and rear shackles

That will save you enough money to stoo do the exhaust, ot at least a cat back system

If I had a pre '03 and planned on drag racing, I'd go for the full exhaust first. For an '03+, shackles on the rear and full exhaust probably.

I think the Hotchkis sits nice - it's not too low. I use mine with the Hotchkis springs front and rear every day and I've hauled several hundred pounds without bottoming out. The latest was a 15KW generator and some supplies put in with a fork lift. Before that, somewhere around a 10-12 bags of Quikcrete. It sagged with the concrete but didn't bottom out.
