Home made efan question

Which terminal on the fan is ground, which is low, and which is high? I have a junkyard fan, and I don't really know what it came off of. It is an 18 inch fan, with curved blades, and has 3.8 on the sticker. I was told it came off of a mustang. Anyone have the magic answer? Thanks
Justin

I kept switching wires unti lI got it right and the fan blew in the correct position.

(I had it wired the wrong way and it blew threw the radiator, rather than suck air through it.) basically it was blowing forward

Well, it doesn't have teh vehicle plug with it, so I took it apart and found a black wire on one terminal, and a red one on the other. The middle pin is un-used. I tried a 12 volt battery, (off of my cordless drill ) and the fan turned the way I wanted it to. I marked the plug and put it back together. Thanks for the response guys
