Finally bought an L!! <pics>

also at NLOC...

Well, a week after I decided I wanted an L, I found the perfect truck for me. The only thing not perfect is that it was 1100 miles away in Michigan ( I live in Florida).. What's a guy to do? Well, I bought myself and a friend a plane ticket and we flew out Friday night. Saturday morning the owner picked us up from thr airport and took me to see the truck. It was everything and more than I could have asked for..

03' L with 3300 miles in MINT condition. 4# lower, Bassani exhaust, 2" lower in the rear, FTVB, Oil Seperator, and flat K&N in the stock airbox. Not too crazy, but faster than stock. I had to have it. Mark (the owner) is a GREAT guy, and Mark if you read this, I hope you get back in the game. Life throws curveballs all the time, but you'll be due any day.

OK, so here are some pics I took
My new ride:

I HAD to get gas from this station.. it fit too well hehe.

lastly, the beauty shot:

We drove 1100 miles straight, stopping only for gas. I drove the whole way, and got us back to Florida in 15.5 hours. The L didn't even flinch. In the 50 degree weather the whole way down she was just purring. All I can say is that this truck is just amazing. I can't believe I didn't think about getting one earlier.

Next mod will be a Johnny L CAI. I think the stock box with a flat K&N may be starving her a tad with the 4# lower.

See you guys around!
Josh

Doh.. we lost another MILOC member (Michigan Lightning Owners Club)

Congrats on the purchase, it was quite a ways away, but I'm sure it was worth it...

Reminds me of one time I sold a car in Kentucky and drove it down there to the new owner... Man I had fun! Took a rental car back b'cuz I'm a cheap a$$.

Congratulations, Josh! Looks like a perfect truck, with mods already on it that you would have had to spend $$ on anyway.

An improved CAI will help a bit...I agree with you there.

Enjoy it, and don't burn too much rubber too fast.

Great looking truck, I read your previous post right before you went out of town, and had a feeling you would be a happy man in just a couple of hours.

Nice find and nice mods to start with, they're getting scarce these days, one suggestion would be to dyno her and make sure you have a safe tune. Have fun and good luck with her.

LATER...BERT.
