Thumbs up PSP Intake and MAF tube

A few weeks back we announced that we are now carrying the C&L line of Trueflow intake plenums and MAF tubes. While they are nice parts out of the box, many customers desire a more factory or show type finish.

So I'm pleased to announce our new PSP Intake Plenum and MAF Tube.

On the MAF tube, we take the out of the box C&L tube, smooth it, and coat it in your favorate color.

For the intake plenum, it was a bit harder. The factory Eaton grey is a proprietary color, and very difficult to match. Anyone who's seen a coated C&L plenum from C&L, knows the color isn't even close to correct. The other issue is that the C&L plenum is a smooth cast finish, and not a rough sand cast finish like OEM. Those issues make it very difficult to find the right color, and then make it looks right shot on the part. So we worked with our coater, and tried about a dozen different colors and finishes, until we found one that I was happy with on the match. The end result is a color that just about perfectly matches the blower. I say just about, because the hue of the factory coating is actually a tad different between different blowers. But our new coating matches them all just about perfect.

Here's a pic of the intake installed on a customers truck:

Here's a second shot, also showing the PSP MAF tube, in a black wrinkle finish to match our PSP FASTair box:

We can coat either part in any color. You can order right from our website, and I'll be adding the PSP coated plenums later today.

Sal,

You can still see the cast line that C&L just grinds down.........where is it smoothed??

Just curious........

Joe, the logo is ground off and flush so it doesn't look like it was ever there. On the smooth finish tubes I usually work the parting line as well. We didn't do it on this particular one because the customer didn't mind it.

The blue tubing is quite ghey, unless you have a Sonic Blue Lightning. Is there any other color? Black works for me!

I'm not keen on the blue either, but that's what C&L supplies with it. I am going to see what kind of price cut I can get if I order them with no couplers, and then get my own black ones.

Sal sounds so smart using such big words like, proprietary and hue. Just for that, I`ll be purchasing one of these fancy intakes after the holidays.

Sal, how much of an effect do these intakes have on the air/fuel ratio?

Sal

Is it true that every PSP built Motor gets one of those Uppers
with PSP written across it, PARTNER : o )
I love it, (this is sooo weird) I now have two Nozzle holes plugged in my upper (yesterday I took the system out to
give you more room to work and was just thinking that it
would be AWESOME to have a new CL Upper with PSP written accross it (in BIG White or Black Letters)
But I always hated the rough finish CL had

Sounds like we got that licked
WHAT DO YOU SAY PARTNER
