Replacement foglights for 2001 up

FYI:

I,ve been watching this board and others for replacments for Ford's high dollar failure prone foglites for quite some time.

Here's what I've found:

Dealer replacements reportedly cost ~$140 each!

Less expensive Ford factory replacements reportedly can be found at KarKraft.com for ~$70 each.

One alternative is the PIAA 959, PIAA.com, but is not listed on this website. My local dealer tells me this model is no longer produced; and recommended the 510-series as a possible alternative for ~$220. I believe both of these may require some cutting of the front bumper, custom fabbed brackets, and cutting the factory wiring harness.

Another alternative is "Cyberwhite by Navigator" lights, obstensibly found at Wally World for ~$40 (I've had no luck finding them). Much less expensive, but still may require some cutting of the front bumper, custom fabbed brackets, and cutting the factory wiring harness.

While doing a little surfing research on the "Cyberwhite by Navigator" lights; I found this website for Pilot auto accessories http://www.pilotautomotive.com/pilot2a.htm, which appers to be the distributor for this brand. There appears to be a half dozen or more potential solutions, albeit all still requiring some modification to make work.

I'm sure there are other manufactures (Hella, Ciebe, ??) that may have lights we could make work. Post them up as you find them, along with your suggestions/solutions.

Good luck!

Buddy of mine has 'em on his truck. Got 'em from Cardomain.com.

Check the link for a pic of them on his truck.
