it would be prudent to remove the metal on the engine side of the electrodes.

My current battery holder has similar design, and its pretty easy to arc/ground out the battery terminal when you're trying to loosen it if you've lost the little plastic cover on it.

To prevent arcing and possibly blowing the battery up, take the negative (-) side off before working on the positive (+).

No much stays a secret with the internet anymore. LOL

This guys makes great quality products. People try to copy him, but the workmanship is never duplicated. He'll be at SEMA if anyone is there to check him out.

I don't see people paying $150 just for a battery holder, but if you want style and a great holder as well, then I guess this will be for you. I honestly wouldnt use one, but I'm not big on bling either.

That doesn't really matter when you have the battery mount screwed down and the screws touch the truck chassis which is grounded.

it is grounded, because it is connected to the neagtive batt. terminal.

What other Optima battery holders are available? Sorry to hijack the thread, but I would just like to see other pictures to compare which one I would like better.

I respect the worksmanship, but something about spending $150 for a holder for a [less than] $120 battery does seem a little odd....but bling is bling!

Use a few keywords on ebay(Optima, Holder, hold down, etc.) and you will come up with a few options. Be careful as many sellers have poor crafstmanship (sharp edges, poor finish, etc.) The holders in mention are prepped to be polished easily by anyone with a buffing wheel if you don't like the brushed finish.

Your probably right. It may end up costing 200 dollars . I saw these before on Ebay, then forgot about it. When I saw the one Rob posted, I knew it looked familiar. It just took me a bit to remember where I saw them.

I guess Rob found them while looking for Juice Brackets.

Why not just put a couple screws through the bottom where there are holes there already for that purpose.... thats what I did, who needs a fancy holder?
