How do you get the tires to hook up without all that weight on the back end?

Best mod I did for hooking up...learning to drive the truck...then I put a 2" Belltech drop in the back and that helped mucho..

Tuning is an SCT tune 93 octane with a 12.0:1 AFR...

I'm happy to say that was me who ran the 8.89 at Ohio Valley bone stock! Are you by chance the guy with the Red Lightning, who I spoke with that night??

Sounds way slow to me for your mods. Or you're getting killed by elevation, slow track, bad track prep, your spinning, something...

At 2000 ft elevation, 64 degrees, my near stock 03 (K&N drop-in, mufflers, FTVB) runs 8.71 @ 80.21 mph with 2.02 60' on F1s. I've heard this track is about .2 slower than some others and judging by some times that I've ran there in another car, that is true. So I think 8.50s are in my future at a better/different track. WIth much higher humidity (94-96%), I couldn't get out of the 8.90s though.
