Well my 3 year lease is up last month and ford wants me down there.Here's my dilema.I got bit by the mod bug.Lets say about $20k in mods.I got a $16k buy out and of coarse i want to buy out.My worries are how do i make sure i get a good intersest on the buyout and also they want to see the truck.I'm alittle nervous about bringing the truck down.Only 9000 miles on it and its a 2001.Book is more than my buyout not including the extras.Can they pull a scummy move and somehow keep the truck seeing how they'll probably make more off a resale.Should i say the truck is out of state and just put $5000 in there face as a down on the buyout?Do they really need to see the truck?

 

The dealership probably just has to check it out anyways because it's under lease terms. And since you're going to buy it out right, I'd let them know this ahead of time and maybe they won't waste time checking it.

 

YOU have the choice to keep the truck or turn it in. There are no "scummy moves" that they can pull. Its your option.
