Exhaust Leak

My truck now has 7500 miles on it. I have been noticing a slight ticking/blowing noise from the drivers side of the motor when I am into the gas a little bit. Could this be a leaking manifold gasket? Is that a normal problem with the Lightnings? Or could it be something in the intake. Its not bothering me much and you can barley hear it-but I just wanted to get some advice from ya'll. Thanks

I've noticed a slight exhaust leak type sound from the driver's side during part/mid throttle. Sometimes I think it's a leak but my 4.6 Mustang made the same type of crackling sound. I think it's just the sound of the exhaust crackling through the headers......the primaries on the stock manifolds are kinda small. This is just my .02 of course. If yours if real loud then it may be leaking.

FunFord...do you have longtubes? If so, you will hear a little ticking near the drivers side (because you are nearest that side) as the exhaust comes through the collectors. If not, then you might have an exhaust leak or a plug ready to blow.

My truck is a 2001 all stock except for a JDM Silver Bullett cat back. It may be a plug becuase they have never been checked before. It is not that noticeable, I have to turn everything off to hear it.
