Hey Guys!
I'm not gonna say too much right now but I'm in the market for a Lightning tranny that can handle over 1100 RWHP.
If anyone can help please post the companies who sell such devices.
Thanks,
Tony

BDS
Factory Tech.
Those are your 3 options.
I think almost everyone will say go with the Factory Tech Monster Box. I use their valve body and it is incredible.
Suavy pumped 26# of boost through his engine and never had a problems with his monster box.

Level 10 built me a trans that couldn't even handle the power when I was running at about 500 rwhp. They rebuilt it once, and then told me it was fine while it was puking fluid out the vent on the top of the trans.
BDS and Factory Tech have both proven themself in many trucks at higher power levels.
I think you guys mean BTS.
Brians Truck shop.
I say do his trans all the way!! Let's not start a war here but let me just say I have sat with Brian many hours and gone trough what is involved in a good trans and what he does compared to level 10 and the monster box. He builds his transmissions to run behind powerstrokes that are running low to mid 11's. This takes around 850 hp in a diesel which means they are making about twice that in ft-lbs of torque. His trans will stand up to it. And he will warranty the thing for 2 years no matter how much torque you throw at it. Try to beat that deal!
I am gonna say this once and hope nobody gives me grief for it. Go BTS, you'll be glad you did! It's the honest truth. More people will chime in on his behalf.

My stock trans never had any problems, and worked better than the Level 10

from what I've been able to gather, BTS is the way to go if you can wait for the tranny (they build each trans for each vehicle one at a time) and if you've got the money around $4000 plus shipping I think.
but they have no HP or TQ limit on their trannies.
no knocking Gregg because he has good products and great customer service. but I've heard of alot of monster box failures.
but maybe that's just because there are more of them out there to hear about?
just my .02

Chris,
I think the BTS is around $3400 with a PI converter that's made to Brian's specs. I'll have to check with Dealerjim but I think that's what he told me.
Jimmy drove over there and watched him do the rebuild. I think he did Jimmy's for about $3200 which included R&R. He cut Jimmy some slack since he was able the reuse the planetaries (they were not stock).
Jimmy's got a ton of pics from that trip.

I am very pleased to see brian is making a name for himself on this board. He is a great guy and deserves the credit. I was the second lightning to ever be in his shop and back then barely anybody on these boards knew who he was. He builds a killer trans! He creates a great family atmosphere. He really loves to share his vast knowledge.
