Thumbs up PSP Cleans up at MIR Ford Fever

I just wanted to send some big congrats to two PSP customers for their big wins this weekend at MIR. Superfords already posted of his events this weekend, so most of you are probably familiar with the event already.

First congrats go to PSP customer Ed Okonski for winning the heads up Lightning class. Ed runs a PSP built motor, Apten port, and was dyno tuned here at our shop. Ed's truck is no lightweight either, he tripped the scales just over 5000lbs this weekend.

Second congrats goes to Ryan Hecox. Ryan won the 03/04 Cobra class in his Procharger powered, PSP tuned 04 Cobra. We tuned Ryans car here at our shop, and when it was done he pumped out 640 rwhp SAE (660 STD). Ryan not only won the event, but he was number one qualifier, and was .4 quicker than anyone else in the field. Ryan qualified with a 10.74, with a slipping clutch, and missing 2nd gear. And this car was dynoed, and races on pump gas!

So I want to give a big to Ed and Ryan for kicking butt and representing the best tuning in the biz .

Thanks man, was a great event. Ryan's car is ungodly, that thing pulls like a freight train and just never lets off.

2bscrewed was hunting me down on that last pass though, he about mile an hour'd me to death

You're right, Ryan's car is insane. That motor revs faster than any motor I've ever dealt with and never runs out of power.

Hey sal. I haven't been tuned by you but I have gotten my Fresh air, valve body, and lastly my last minute fuel pumps that probably kept my stock bottom end together all weekend. Those guys you mentioned were pretty impressive. Ed I didn't know you had a built motor. That makes me feel a little better about losing, but not much. I ranged from 1.73-1.77 60's all weekend till that final 2.0. That hurt in the 1/8.

I noticed the fast air on there

Yeah, I have a built bottom end, but all stock heads and cams and so forth.

Extremely close race man, had my heart pounding at the end, though you were gonna catch me.

Good job Ed and Ryan.
Please don't think I am in any way dicrediting you two personally for what I am going to say, but For Sal to personally toot his own horn and say he himself is the best in the business is BS. Let your customers spread their happiness. The only way to prove this would be to have the same vehicle go to all the tuners with out additional mods added other than what it already had and let the tuners burn their chips, go to the track and run the vehicle with equal cool down times and the same unbiased driver run all the chips. The general population would like to see a tuner shootout with their personal vehicles, that in itself is not comparible because of different mods and different budgets, but all mods are available to anyone. What's it gonna be, put up, or shut up!!!

Well, the thing you have to consider is that both Ryan and I told Sal via IM that we had won, when he asked us, we aren't the kind of people to go around and toot our own horns. Sal had recently tuned Ryans Cobra and was able to make over 20hp more and over 100ftlbs more torque than the previous tune. He also ASKED both Ryan and myself if he could post on our behalves before he made the post.

Personally I didn't see it as gloating, just someone taking pride in what they do.

As for the personal vehicle racing, Sals truck held the record for almost two years?? I think he proved himself all he needs to, as has Johnny. I'm personally not familiar with JDM so I won't comment, but I know they have some fast customer vehicles.

You're trying to start a flame war, and you have one post, if you ask me you have another name on this board, and jsut don't have the ***** to post that bull**** under it
