Exhaust, which one?

I know this one has probly been beat to death, but which exhaust is the best for an 03 lightning. I had true dual flowmasters on my 97 4.6. I keep reading that these trucks dont like and dont sound very good with flowmasters. Im open to suggestions cause i really am used to an aggressive tone and the truck with the stock muffler is just toooo quiet.

it depends on how much you want to spend. bassani is the most expensive and i heard nothing but awesome ratings about them. i personally went with the jdm silver bullet and have no regrets. all i have is the catback no headers and the truck just opens up under wide open throttle. but if you want the cheapest with great results you have magnaflow. i personally never heard flowmasters on a lightning. my top choices would be bassani, jdm silver bullet and magnaflow

Magnaflow catback is a a good value and sounds great.

I got mine from **** on NLOC for 300+shipping when they first came out, It's been a year and a half and it looks and sounds fantastic!

I've had the Magnaflow for a couple of months and like it. I think there are some differences in sound between the various makes that maybe some others can expand on. The Magnaflow is pretty rumbly at initial throttle tip in operation so it's pretty noticeable in town driving and especially in the 1500 to 2000 rpm range where the truck spends a lot of time. Not bad on the highway at cruise. You will still hear it burbling away and more so on grades. It mixes well with the blower whine when accelerating hard but without heaing someone else drive the truck while I listen, I'm not exactly sure what it sounds like to others. I've read on the forum that the Bassani seems quieter at throttle tip in and low speed, but really has a good ripping roar when accelerating. Borla's are suppose to be quiet compared to the Magnaflow and Bassani and some people have complained of the sound under hard acceleration, although I have difficulty believing they don't sound good.

From: IN,
I have FLOWMASTER series 40 all ss.I actually did not care for the sound right off th bat and felt like i lost some power. Then ran worst times at the track a buddy of mine felt the truck afr or something was off .I unhooked the battery for afew mins hooked it up and OMG i went from 9.05 1/8 to 8.88.The sound at 1st sounded like an exhaust leak but after this it sounds great.Sounded like it should guess the comp adjusted for less backpressue.I had the wife drive it home after p/u my company ride and finally got her to get on it sounded great from the outside then she kept getting on it scaring the sh** out of me haha.I still like the flows and donot regret them at all even nice on the hwy.

I have the Bassani CB and I love it!
My neighbor has the full Bassani and it is by far the best sounding Lightning I have ever heard!!
I recently heard the full JDM exaust on an "L" in traffic. Let me tell you...It was a real head turner!!!

Gadget I think I complimented you in the past on the sound of your truck.
Also it's really hard to evaluate when "BOTH" Lightnings are at WOT
