Shaved Handles Anyone?

Anyone paying attention to the boards may know I rubbed up against a concrete post in downtown atlanta. Erg, yeah. But I am getting a new paint job (Thank God For Some Ballin Parents!) for XMas and Bday for me. I'm not sure on what color I want. Maybe keep black, but I love Sonic/True Blue and DSG. Maybe black with DSG dual raccing stripes. Anyways.....

I'm not paying for the paint, but I want to save up on things like door popper (for shaved door handles), an auto bed cover popper, etc. Basically I'll pay to shave everything (EVERYTHING! **** RADIO! That antenna is going!) Plus thaat Cervini bumper that I guess only I like.

Anyways, does anyone here actually have shaved door handles, a cleaned up tailgate or anything like that, I have 2 months to save up (till I get a house, thank you jesus) to save up for anything.

So, among many questions:
What else is there to shave other than badges, all handles, and antenna. Anyone have experience with actually doing this?

I think I'm one of two people who like this bumper, but I'm not making for anyone but me. It reminds me of the saleen bumper a bit, and it looks slick.

God forbid you get a flat tire in that truck with that bumper on. My truck is lowered 2" front/ 3" rear, and I just had a flat tire a few days ago. I had a b!tch of a time trying to figure out how to get a jack under the truck. Finally I just layed some bricks down and rolled back up on them to raise the truck enough to get a floor jack under the truck.
With that bumper on, im sure it would have ripped apart.

A jack wouldn't be easy, but this thing is definatley lowered. It doesn't look like it's much taller than the L bumper.

I also had a good member, whom I'd like to thank, for uploading a pic of a nice L all shaved and I'm gonna do it.

And the brake ducts are one of the reasons I like the bumper, plus it's damn aggresive.

Just an FYI, my body guy quoted me a pretty penny ($250+) for the labor and materials involved to shave my antenna. Dunno what the other stuff will cost, but it wasn't as cheap or simple as I had figured. Again, just a heads-up.

P.S. His other rates are reasonable so it's not like he's out to rip me off. He's gotten my business on a continuous basis for some of my other projects.

I thought about it. Then a good guy mentioned I should I check the NHRA rulebook about having handles. It requires a handle to release the door in emergency. Not to say you can't get around it, but it wasn't worth the hassle.

Thanks V!

But, the kit is being installed on the new toy!

Like Josh (Loosebolt) stated shaved door handle are not aloud to run at a nhra sanctioned race. the tech guy freaked out on me for opening my passenger door by reaching through the window because it was locked. he made me open and close the doors for him to prove that you can open it from the outside. one other thing that most probably dont think about is that you want to unlock the doors in case something happens god forbid the rescue crew has full access into your vehicle.

other than that i think you got the right attitude dont let others make your decision for you only you know what you like and would be happy with.
