Question Pedal adjustments...

I need a little help...

I'm pretty short, when I sit in the L, I have to move the seat pretty far foward to get the pedals in a comfortable position.

But that puts the steering wheel pretty close to me, a little too close.

I've looked at the pedals and tried to figure out a way to adjust them closer to me so that I can keep the seat back a little farther, I'm only looking for a couple of inches closer.

I thought about trying to manufacture some spacers to go between the actual pedal and the pedal lever...

Do you guys think that this would be safe, or does anyone have any other ideas that might work without making the pedals look too ghetto?

Thanks

I think it has been brought up before, but maybe you could retrofit a set of adjustable pedals from an expedition or explorer? My wife has issues with my truck aswell she is only 5' tall.

pedals

I have an 01 S'crew lariet and it has power pedals on it. You might find a set off a wreck and fit them on. My mother is 4'8" and has a real hard time in trucks! Mine was the first one she was able to drive in 20 years. They do move up a bit. Just my $0.02 worth... Pat

I'm only like 5'3 or 5'4 and I don't really have problems. How short are you?

LMAO at superfords.

Good one!!

Retrofitting a HD adjustable pedal setup wouldn't be that difficult.

That was nice chris!! I'll look into the platforms as a last resort

I'm 5'7", it seems that if I get the seat close enough for my feet (I like to be able to get the gas pedal all the way to the floor and still have some leg left), the steering wheel is too close, or I have to raise the back of the seat up...you probably have longer legs than I do leeann...not a bad thing

I'm going to look into the HD / SCREW / Explorer set ups...I'll just have to find someones that I can look at...

Thanks for all the help everyone, I'll post back as I get things going...
