Problem with my Radio

Hey guys, I'm just wondering if any of you could give me an idea on what to do to fix my radio. For some reason lately most of my radio stations have been coming in with alot of static. Some dont come in at all. They are Major area stations so its not like I'm tryin to get a station from far away and they used to come in perfect. Its been like this for about 3weeks now and really starting to annoy me. Will swapping the Kenwood head unit out of my old truck into this one get rid of this problem ? Is there anyway to get my 6disc changer to work with my single in dash unit ?? How can I get the stock unit out with out the tool ?? Is the tool expensive ?? Any help at all would be great. Thanks guys.

lol Tom...I dont have the money to get your full system, though believe me I wish I did....I have a Kenwood Mp3 player that I had in my old truck that I liked, I just dunno how to get the stocker out without the tool. And its not as tall as the stocker, and I have to get a thing to put in to fill the dead zone so no wires show...I just dont have a clue of where to get it...

I just dont know why its has all this static....I checked and my antennae is tight and doesnt move.

Grab the black plastic around it and just pull. it should pop right out. I was selling my stock unit and cd player. You can have it if you want to pick it up.

any local car audio shop should have what you're looking for..just ask for a dash install kit for 97-03 F-150. should run about 15-40 bucks depending on where you get it.... you could also ebay it..

Josh all you need to do is get wire hanger and cut it into 4 six inch pieces.insert each one all the way into each four holes and then you can pull it out.If you have a hard time i can also get the tool from Creg. You also might wanna ask him about the conection to your cd changer.call him tomorrow after 1 at work.

Before you go blaiming the radio, go check, and clean the grounds on the fire wall under the hood. I know it is weird but mine was doing the same thing, I claened the grounds and the problem went away.
