Do I have the wrong S/C belt???

...........or am i just installing it wrong........ but belts are usually easy.

I'm at work and don't have the belt part number, but I couldn't install the belt that came w/ my PSP metco interchangable pulley order.

I can't for the life of me get it on.

Any suggestions before I call PSP after work?

BTW, this is not a bash on PSP, I've had zero problems with them.

Sounds like the belt is a bit short? You can either return it or grind off the little nub that limits the tensioner rotation.

You can also cheat by leaving the blower bolts loose, so the blower nose can tip downward while you are installing the belt. Make sure you tighten the blower to the correct torque - all boltss to 18 ft/lb and then re-torque to 35 ft/lb.

Put your breaker bar/belt tool on the tensioner. Then pull it till it stops. It stops because it bottoms on a little tab on the tensioner. Give it a few good yanks, and that little tab pops off, and you will have a whole bunch more throw on the tensioner .

I will try your suggestion. It sounds like that will work b/c I just couldnt get the tensioner to give me enough slack........it just stopped at a certian point.

Just to check when I get home, what is the proper belt # that goes with the 6# pulley???

Thanks.
